Great post. I had the privilege of learning and working with many of them. For example, for me Martha Pelaez Phd is continues to be my mentor and "academic mum."

What a lovely tribute to kind and thoughtful people. Konrad was a giant in health — with a robust Australian sense of humour. I don't believe that my name belongs on your pages Jane — but thank you for the reminder that the kindness we have received from others must be multiplied often before we complete our life's work.
